“The Greek root of the word crisis is ‘to sift’, as in, to shake out the excesses and leave only what's important. That's what crises do. They shake things up until we are forced to hold on to only what matters most. The rest falls away.”

Hello. I'm Gloria, and I'm a truth-teller. Well, I try to be. I write about everyday life, love, parenting, partnering, being human, and being fallible. I think the most helpful, healing phrase is "me too," and I hope what you find here helps you feel less alone and more at home. Life is just as amazing as it is hard, and there's no need to go through it trying to pretend it's anything but.
